Work involved: - Removing 90sqm of tarmac and layer upon layer of previous surfaces and sub bases. - laying 55sqm of kandla grey Indian sandstone, with a charcole block border and jointing. - 10 tons of top soil and 38sqm of turf to level with the existing lawn. Start of a large job for us in Beverley, removing approximately 90sqm of tarmac and replacing with Indian sandstone paving and turfing the remaining. Complicated by the fact in places the finished tarmac layer was the top layer of 4 or 5 different layers including, stone, concrete, more tarmac and finally York stone pavers 4” thick and measuring 1000x500mm. #beverley #hull #landscaping #gardenmaintenance

Driveway completed in Kirkella. Had problems with standing water and the old stone was very patchy. After clearing 14 tons of old stone and soil, we installed a drain to allow the surface water to drain away. Area was levelled with additional sub base and compacted down. Block kerb edges reinstalled to retain the border better. Finished off with 10 tonnes of Yorkshire Cream stone. 3 Day garden clearance uncovered a large block paved area no one knew was there. Conifers reduced in height by approximately 12’. Weeds and grass cut down, Ivy removed and lots of rubbish cleared up. Hard to tell from the before pictures but this lawn was in poor condition and was up and down. We dug it out, added new top soil, some gravel boards to protect the fence a little and levelled it off with just a gradual slope towards the bottom of the garden to follow the new path. Not going to lie, thought the weather was beating us at one point…it was a bit of a mud bath, luckily it dried out in time to get the turf down. #turf #landscaping
